The flypapers did require a crank mod but a friend of mine ran the prototypes for 2 years on her pro level 4cross bike with no probs and now same crank/pedals on DJ bike.

different airline to airline, usually about 100$ per direction. I travel from Alaska all the time & only get charged on my return flights most of the time.
